Patti Carr Weber, RPh, graduated from University of Louisiana Monroe with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Patti began her career with Eckerd Pharmacy based in Dallas, TX and went on to spend more than 30 years as an executive in the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) and specialty pharmacy industries.
Her career has also been marked by unique honors, including starring as herself in a national Eckerd Pharmacy commercial that aired for three years, and being the only female CVS Health executive selected for the prestigious Women’s Executive Leadership Program “The Few” in 2015.
Beyond her professional achievements, Patti is deeply committed to giving back. She spent many years as a Counselor and Director at Camp Esperanza, a camp for children with cancer at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas – a role she considers one of her proudest contributions. She and her family also participated in many family mission trips with Whites Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake, Texas serving families in need in the Texas and the surrounding states.
Patti resides in Keller, Texas, and is the proud mother of two amazing daughters. She thrives on staying active, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with her beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Beau – her “COVID puppy” and constant companion.
It is Patti’s desire to help others navigate life with Microscopic Colitis (MC). After being diagnosed with MC, patients feel confused and alone. Patients need access to trusted information to be empowered to take a more active role in their care. Unfortunately, due to the lack of clinical studies on diet specific to MC, the medical community lacks an understanding of the critical nature “food sensitivities” and “diet changes” play in the patients’ recovery and disease management.
We need to work towards changing this paradigm to help both the patients and the medical community.
